Here we’ll take a look at some of the more specific items that allows me to play games and do what I do.
PC:
Up until May 2021 I had been using a laptop to manage my stream, but was finding it too under powered to handle the work as the channel grew. The time came to replace it, and being a tech enthusiast, I built my own…

Hardware:
– AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU
– 32GB ADATA XPG GAMMIX D10 DDR4 PC4-24000 RAM
– MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI AM4 m/b
– Gigabyte GTX 970 4GB GPU
– 250GB Samsung 840 SSD (OS volume)
– 2TB Seagate Firecude Gen4 NVMeM.2 SSD (Scratch)
– Elgato 4K60 Pro mk2 PCIe capture card
– Cooler Master Silencio S600 case
– ADATA XPG Core Reactor 750W fully modular 80 Plus Gold PSU
Monitors:
Having an interest in video editing, I wanted to go as large as I could without breaking the bank, so I opted for the LG 32UN500 UHD HDR monitor.
At 32″ it is the ideal size for ample desktop space to work on Adobe Premiere Pro. It’s also Ultra HD with High Dynamic Range so perfect for the best creation.

I also use two additional monitors.
A trusty old 20″ Samsung P2050 monitor that is primarily used for managing OBS, Discord and the Xbox party app while streaming.
Then I have a 24″ Dell P2414H monitor in portrait orientation and is used purely for stream chat and the Twitch Stream Manager web app.
Prior to having this large portrait monitor my ability to keep up with the chat was limited.
Controller:
In my quest to get better at competitive multiplayer games (Warzone) I treated myself to the Elite Series 2 controller. It provides a level of configuration that not many other controllers can match. The hair triggers and rear paddles definitely give you that edge in battle.

Console:
Despite now having a PC capable of playing games, I still prefer the convenience of console gaming. My console of choice is the Xbox One X. In particular, the special edition ‘Gears 5’ console. Being a UHD/HDR capable console, this paired with the 32″ LG monitor makes for an excellent gaming experience.
Headset:
I am a massive music lover, and a bit of an audiophile when it comes to movie watching. So when it came time to choose a new headset I knew it had to be something that could provide fantastic audio quality for games, movies and music. I opted for the Steelseries Arctis 7 headset which has only exceeded my expectations.
